Stair parts for homes in Stalybridge
Many homes in Stalybridge are stone or brick terraces built into the hillside, with narrow straight flights, so wall handrails, replacement treads and matching turned spindles are common orders.
The homes we supply in Stalybridge are mostly stone and brick terraces on the hillsides and former mill cottages. Around the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, Cheetham Park and Stalybridge town centre, a new oak handrail, spindles and newel caps on an existing softwood flight is the most popular way to update a staircase without replacing it.
A like for like repair, such as new spindles or a new handrail, does not normally need approval. A new or rebuilt staircase must meet Part K of the building regulations. If the house is listed, check with Tameside Council first, because a listed staircase needs listed building consent.
Everything in the shop can be collected from our store, and complete flights can be designed in the Staircase Builder.
