Frequently asked questions
How many brackets do I need?
One bracket roughly every metre, plus one near each end of the wall rail.
What height should a wall handrail be?
Between 900mm and 1000mm above the pitch line of the stair, the same as a handrail on the open side.
Do I need a handrail on the wall side?
A stair less than one metre wide needs a handrail on at least one side. A stair one metre or wider needs one on both sides.
Can I collect brackets with my wall rail?
Yes. Add the brackets and the wall rail to your basket, pay online and collect them together from our Ashton-under-Lyne store.
