Made to your measurements

Built to your floor to floor height, the width of the opening and the length available, with every rise and going the same.

Between walls or open sided

Closed between two walls with wall handrails, or open on one or both sides with spindles, a handrail and newels.

Softwood or oak

Softwood for painting or carpet, oak for a natural finish, or oak treads and balustrade on a softwood flight.

Bullnose bottom step

A shaped first step on the open side finishes the bottom of the flight neatly.

How much space does a straight staircase need?

Roughly the number of treads multiplied by the going. For a typical 2600mm floor to floor height with 13 risers and a 235mm going, that is a little under 3 metres of floor length.

How do I measure for a new staircase?

Measure the finished floor to finished floor height, the width of the opening and the length available. We confirm every size before anything is made.

Can I design my staircase online?

Yes. Our Staircase Builder lets you choose the sizes, timber and balustrade, see the stair in 3D and send the design to us for a price.

Do you fit staircases?

We are supply only, but we can recommend reliable joiners who fit our staircases.
