What is in the kit

Width
Two prices: one for staircases up to 900mm wide and one for staircases over 900mm wide.
Your floor height
Measure from the finished floor downstairs to the finished floor upstairs. The kit suits a rise of 199 to 220mm per step at 42 degrees, and the shop shows how many risers your height gives.
Your string length
Measure the overall length of string the flight needs along the pitch, from the floor to the landing, with enough for the joints at each end.
Frequently asked questions
Is the flat pack staircase within the building regulations?
Yes. It is made to suit a rise of 199 to 220mm at a pitch of 42 degrees, inside the Part K limits for a private stair: a maximum rise of 220mm and a pitch of no more than 42 degrees.
What do I need to tell you when I order?
Your floor to floor height and the overall string length. You enter both before the staircase goes in your basket, and we check them before we cut your kit.
Are glue and screws included?
No. The kit includes the strings, treads, risers, blocks and wedges. Glue and screws are not included.
Can I add a balustrade?
Yes. Newel posts, handrails, base rails, spindles and caps are all in the shop, so you can add them to the same basket and collect everything together.
